Watch the latest edition of Europe and You - the programme which looks at the local issues and stories happening in Europe which affect you.
Four years ago MEPs began calling for a Europe-wide hotline as the first point of contact for missing children. All 27 EU countries agreed to make every effort to set up the number – 116000 – by May 2011.

However, the hotline is still not running in 12 EU countries, including the UK where some mobiles experience trouble calling the number.

In the Europe & You studio, Quadrant journalists Andrea Mott and Georg von Harrach discussed this problem with the Liberal Democrat’s Justice Spokesperson, Sarah Ludford and Delphine Moralis from Missing Children Europe.

Europe and You also spoke with campaign group ‘20’s Plenty for Us’ as they aim to empower more communities in the UK and across Europe to cut road speeds to 20 miles per hour in residential areas.

Glasgow, Leicester and Portsmouth are just some of the cities which have already set up 20mph zones.

Labour MP, Brian Simpson is supporting the campaign and told Europe and You that he would like to see 20mph zones made compulsory by EU law.

The Europe and You website is packed with news from the European Parliament – you can also click on news that is local to your region.
