EVENT ORGANISING THE 2012 WELSH CONTACT CENTRE AWARDS
Monday 02 April 2012
The Quadrant team has been making friends with the stars, as we persuaded Torchwood and West end Star John Barrowman to host the 14th annual Welsh Contact Centre Awards in Cardiff City Stadium recently.
The glittering awards ceremony celebrated excellence and innovative practice from individuals and companies within the contact centre and shared service industry in Wales – recognising the value of an industry which generates more than £400m a year to the Welsh economy.
Over 600 contact centre professionals, suppliers and supporters joined us as we handed out 14 awards to the most deserving candidates along with entertainment from the likes of Reuel, Imperfect 10th, and of course a few ballsy ballads from John Barrowman himself.
Keeping the host a secret was a difficult task, as many of the guests were bribing us with fabulous gifts in return for a sneaky clue but we managed to keep our lips sealed until the evening arrived. It was worth the wait as the ladies (and some of the gentlemen we must admit) went wild for Barrowman – we even had to employ a few security guards to control the mobs of fans!
Many guests described the evening as ‘the best award ceremony to-date.’
