Established on 1st April 2003, Caerphilly Local Health Board (LHB) is the largest LHB in Gwent and one of the largest LHBs in Wales, providing services to approximately 170,000 people in an area of high deprivation in the eastern valleys of South Wales. There are 31 GP partnerships and over 90 GPs providing services to the County Borough population that stretches from Rhymney in the north to Caerphilly in the south and Risca in the east. The aim of Caerphilly Local Health Board is to implement strategies which will improve the health and health services of people locally.
