Warburtons is the largest family-owned bakery in the UK, producing a comprehensive range of high quality bread and morning goods. The Warburtons family began baking in 1876 when Thomas Warburton and his wife Ellen sold homemade bread from their small grocery shop in Bolton, Lancashire. The shop was soon renamed ‘Warburtons the Bakers’. Celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, Warburtons currently employs more than 3,500 people across the UK. The company has 11 bakeries and nine depots, producing and delivering 1.5 million loaves to customers every day. Warburtons has remained a family-run business for 125 years and has passed its bakery expertise from generation to generation.
