OPPORTUNITY WALES HELPS SAFETY MEDIA TO INCREASE HITS TO WEB SITE BY 400 PER CENT
Safety Media Ltd, a Bodelwyddan-based company specialising in the production of safety training aids is celebrating an increase in trade thanks to eCommerce advice and assistance received via Opportunity Wales. The £21 million eCommerce initiative was launched last April to help businesses in the Objective One areas of Wales benefit from the use of eCommerce.
Based at Kinmel Park, Safety Media Ltd, has been selling its range of safety posters, signs, videos and CD-ROMs that deal with every aspect of safety from fire prevention to food safety over the Internet for the last four years.
Constantly seeking ways of further developing his business though, owner, Bill Roberts, contacted Opportunity Wales after being informed about hearing about it from the WDA and has nothing but praise for the help advice he has received from its advisers.
Bill said: “Within a few days we were contacted by Opportunity Wales implementation partners The ITC Ltd of Rhewl near Ruthin, who carried out a free eCommerce Review. This recommended advice about improvements to our Web site, on-line ordering and other things we hadn’t thought about which, since implementation has resulted in ‘hits’ to the Safety Media Web site increasing by almost 100 per cent. We’ve also seen a a 400 per cent increase in ‘hits’ on our Safety Learning Web site
“We were very impressed with the breadth of knowledge about eCommerce that the advisers had and found them totally unbiased. Their advice and ongoing support is proving invaluable in helping develop our business. I’d recommend that any business that wants to stay ahead of the competition should contact Opportunity Wales.”
