NEW APPOINTMENTS STRENGTHEN SPECIALIST TAX DEPARTMENT

As part of its ongoing expansion programme, Broomfield & Alexander has appointed two new members of staff to its tax department. The new appointments further strengthen the company’s specialist tax team. Mike Buttigieg joins as tax department manager and Jane Mellor as tax advisor. Both will be based at Broomfield & Alexander’s head office in Pentwyn, Cardiff.

Mike Buttigieg from Pontprennau, Cardiff will lead a dedicated team in personal and corporate tax compliance work, providing advice and assistance to a wide selection of clients. Prior to joining Broomfield & Alexander, Mike’s previous roles include senior tax manager with a large national accountancy firm and HM Inspector of Taxes at the Inland Revenue.

As chartered tax advisor, Jane Mellor from Roath will be responsible for the preparation of tax returns for individuals and partnerships, as well as reviewing clients’ affairs for tax efficiency and planning opportunities. Jane’s previous experience includes working for a national accountancy firm for over 10 years. Originally from Somerset, Jane is a member of the South Wales branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
