QUALITY REAPS REWARDS
The team at Broomfield and Alexander have received a prestigious accolade for their professionalism and dedication in delivering a high quality service to their clients.
The company has been awarded Best Newcomer Prize in the Wales Quality Awards 2008, which are based on the internationally respected European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model - one of the world’s most rigorous frameworks for measuring the quality of an organisation’s operations.
Qualifying for the awards – which are run by the Wales Quality Centre - means having every aspect of a company’s operations subjected to in-depth scrutiny by a team of industry experts.
Broomfield and Alexander beat off competition from across Wales to become one of only five companies to be given an Award, which was presented at a recent ceremony in Cardiff.
Managing director Robert Preece said it was further recognition of the contribution made by the staff. “I am very proud of the people in this business, and delighted for them that their efforts have been noted independently through such an important and demanding award.
“We recently became the only independent accountants to be listed in the Sunday Times’ esteemed Best Companies Guide – a ranking based on feedback from employees, so I’m very pleased to see that Broomfield & Alexander is rapidly becoming the place to work – and the place to come to for professional advice!”
Wales Quality Centre chief executive David Phillips said the award process involved the most rigorous X-ray available of a company’s fundamental health. “Businesses use the Awards to get to the heart of their operations, bring their strengths and weaknesses into sharp focus and give them a clear view of how they can become stronger and more competitive,” he said.
